From the Shroud comes Mary's Face

This is a forensic artist's rendering of the Virgin Mary from the Shroud of Turin. Bishop Fulton Sheen said Jesus got his looks from His Mother. More info on the image here. And here's an interesting article from the indomitable Ann Barnhardt on the Immaculate Conception and the Assumption.

  3. It's possible Jesus looked like that and that's fine with me and probably most other Christians. However, this little quote from the article: "Long hair and narrow features mark the Shroud of Turn as a fraud" is unsupportable as fact and betrays an agenda. Nice try.

  4. Very clever, Gretchen, uncovering Popular Mechanic's anti-Christian bias. Then again, you are the expert in wrapping extremist views in religious trappings, aren't you?

  5. Sorry for not posting your comment earlier, Anonymous (I've been busy with holiday obligations).

You seem very angry, friend. What extremist views are you talking about?
