God bless our local youth. Did you see in the bulletin that the parish youth group will be presenting a dramatic reading at St. Mary's, 7 p.m. on Good Friday? From the bulletin:

All Saints Parish Life-Teen Ministry will present ―Were You There? – Reflections on the Passion of Christ. The dramatic reading will take place on Good Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church. 1. Not only have the adults had to make decisions in the mess created by the deacon but so have the teens. How sad is that? Way to go!

  2. 9:40 But the good thing is that the teens who have left with their families are still involved. It's too bad for the parish that they are no longer here but I am happy that they are still alive and well in the Catholic church!

    A Holy Easter to all.

  4. Does anybody know if these are the same Stations that the teens have done at Immaculate Heart on Good Friday? We have gone to them every year and they are powerful. Where is Saint Catherines Church?

  5. I heard they are the same. Go into Addison and take the first right. The church is about 1/4 mile on the left side. see you there.

  6. To 11:28 AM- Yes they are the pretty much the same as the ones done at IHM in the past, just a few minor changes at it is in a different Church set up. My teens participated last year and are doing it again this year at St. Catherine’s and I will say, I found it a very moving experience even at practice this past Sunday. I love that our teens have the opportunity to bring their Faith alive during this Holy Easter Week! So please come and share in their faith, you too will be moved!

  7. It's a blessing that our teens are so faithful- I'm sure that our Lord is pleased. I think we should all agree that it doesn't matter which church they are attending or who their leader is, as long as they are learning, growing and experiencing their Catholic faith.

  9. I dragged my family, kicking and screaming, to the Living Stations. All I can say is that next year, they will be in the car waiting to go- it was incredible. Really, what a moving experience, I had no idea what to expect and certainly was not expecting anything so emotional. Even my husband had tears in his eyes. I felt like, for just a few minutes, "we were there when they crucified our Lord".

  10. I too went to Addison to the Living Stations. I agree having never been before, it was a deepening emotional and prayerful experience. It brought home the reality of the situation Jesus, the disciples and Mary experienced for each of us. Thank you to the FBI youth and their leaders. You are doing much to formand shape yours and ours relationship with God.
